Traditional Buddhist Meditation
Meditation that feels good from the very first session
Most meditation methods ask you to fight your wandering mind. This one doesn’t. Tranquil Mind uses warm, loving-kindness as its object — a genuinely pleasant feeling your mind naturally wants to return to.
The result is less struggle, faster progress, and a practice that’s actually enjoyable. Many people experience their first glimpse of the jhānas — deep states of peace and happiness — within days or weeks, not years.
Joy-first approach
We emphasise smiling, ease, and kindness. Seriousness creates tension — the opposite of what you want.
The Buddha's original path
Rooted in the earliest Pali texts — not a modern reimagining, but the complete path as it was actually taught.
The 6Rs — a clear technique
Recognise, Release, Relax, Re-smile, Return, Repeat. A gentle, reliable way to work with any distraction.
Freely offered — always
Following 2,600 years of tradition, all teaching is given freely. No subscriptions, no fees, no upsells.

Traditional Buddhist Meditation
2,600 years of
unbroken transmission
Some 2,600 years ago, the Buddha laid out a practical, complete path to the end of suffering. His disciples preserved his teachings verbatim through oral transmission across generations, until they were committed to writing.
Tranquil Mind is rooted in these earliest records — offering you direct access to the Buddha’s own instructions, taught in plain modern language, supported by experienced guides, and offered freely to all.

Yes. Our teachers and guides offer their time freely, following the traditional Buddhist principle that the Dhamma should be available to all. For in-person retreats, we charge only what’s necessary to cover venue and food costs.
Many people who struggled with other approaches find this method works for them. The emphasis on loving-kindness, smiling, and keeping things light makes the practice genuinely enjoyable — and the 6Rs give you a clear way to work with distractions instead of fighting them.
Many people notice benefits — calmer mind, better sleep, less reactivity — within the first few days of consistent practice. Initial jhāna experiences can arise within weeks for some people. The Buddha himself described these teachings as “immediately effective.”
None at all. We welcome absolute beginners. The 3-Day Zoom Retreat is designed specifically for people who have never meditated before, and our guides will meet you exactly where you are.
